Best Single player xbox 360 game to explore?

I'm looking for a fun game to waste some time on and I'm just wondering what a really fun single player game is just to run around and explore stuff away from the story. And I know I will get a lot of sandbox games but is there any games with a set path that you can veer away from and find stuff?
