Do you think Malcolm X was good or bad?

The mainstream media makes it seem that MLK was the hero and Malcolm X was an instigator. But I have to argue. A lot of the time people overlooked his good things. Sure he was a racist at first, but people always overlook the good thing -- that he overcame that, and advocated forgiveness in the end. He truly had a change of heart, and he denounced the bad things about the Muslim religion, and the black racism. Right before his assassination, he met with Martin Luther King, who he previously denounced by saying, "While he was having a dream, we were having a nightmare."
