Is the GoPro 960 hd enough ?

I was wondering is the GoPro 1080 that much mor hd than the 960 ? The Hero 1080 HD costs 259.99 and the GoPro 960 is only 179.99. Im not really willing to go the extra $ 80 ? All currency is in U.S. dolars.
