Why aren't Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson alive?

That doesn't make any sense. They brought so much joy to everyone and they died under bad circumstances. They were both American national treasures. We shouldn't let our musical heroes die. Elvis could sing anything and so could Michael. They could reach high notes, growl, shimmy, sing gospel. Any song was in their reach.
