Word 2007 edit text in a table?

Ok, in my class at Job Corps, I have a whole part in section Word 2007 that asks me to do several things that I don't know how to do. These are: "Key and Edit Text in a Table", "Edit Table structure; insert, delete, move, merge and split cells", "Change Table Dimensions and Re-size the Table", "Format Table; borders and shading, Rotate text", "Use Table Styles to Format a Table", and finally, "Convert Text into Tables, Tables into Text". That's exactly how it says it in my T.A.R. (Training Achievement Record). I really need help. I wanna get outta Job Corps soon, I'm 70% done in trade, and I have to be outta here by October. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! I really need help bad. Please help me.
